Art Reproduction
Reproductions of artworks of art are made in the studio, under controlled lighting conditions with suitable equipment.
It is indeed important not to distort the original work with different colour temperatures and to have a soft and diffused lighting.
The works can be brought by the customer, I can also work with the company Farin specialized in the transport of artworks.
If the artworks cannot be moved to my studio, a studio will be set up directly at the client's premises.
Installation of a studio at the client's place:
Depending on the size of the artworks, it will be necessary to have more or less space.
In order to set up a complete studio (lighting and background) I need an obstacle-free floor space of at least 4 by 5 metres.
For artworks larger than 3 meters other solutions are possible and will be proposed on a case by case basis.
Most of the time the works of art are presented on a neutral white background.
If a specific background is required for the presentation of the works, I can propose the colours available at colorama.
The installation of the studio is done with the help of a photo assistant who will be present during the whole shooting process.
The material used :
The shots are taken in a medium format of 51.4 Million pixels on a 43.8x32.9mm CMOS sensor (8,256 × 6,192 pixels @ 300dpi), the camera is equipped with a double internal backup.
The choice of focal lengths will be made according to the size of the work in order to guarantee the respect of the work. The lens of choice will be 110mm.
Studio flashes have guaranteed stability and colorimetry.
Respect of the colorimetry :
At the beginning of the shooting, a colour chart will be photographed in order to calibrate the colours according to the shooting conditions in order to restore the colours of the work.
Retouching and Color Matching
All digital files require adjustments. Our digital captures include a basic adjustment for the white balance and histogram, as well as basic cropping.
Files delivered :
The photos will be delivered in 2 formats, JPEG 100% quality and 16bits TIFF files, if necessary RAW files can also be delivered.
The images are uploaded to a secure online gallery allowing the customer to download all the images in 3 different resolutions.
